EU REFERENDUM
Local sentiment
4 March 2016

Is Pevensey Bay ahead of the game in terms of thinking? Are we beginning to see what will happen in the EU Referendum across the country on June 23?

The first thirty votes are in from local people in our tiny straw poll,. The people voting seem to have definitely decided which way they will vote in the EU Referendum. For the first time, it appears to be clear that the majority of people support the country coming out of the European Union.

A tiny tiny sample but…the shift to people locally saying that they will vote to leave the European Union is marked.

This is the first time in the poll that we have seen a demonstrable shift by local people saying that they will vote to come out of the European Union.

43% say we should stay in the European Union. 57% now say we should come out of the European Union.

Are local people beginning to make their minds up about which way they will vote? Are the undecided, beginning to be decided?

Locally, is a voting pattern beginning to emerge?

The Bay Life poll of local voting intentions will stay on our homepage, right up to the day before the EU Referendum on 23 June.

Such a big historic decision for our country.

Have you decided how you will vote yet?

You can add your vote here on our homepage
