Friday Night Is Music Night Presents D-Day 70 Years On
Fri 6 June, 8pm
Tickets: £12

This sell out show of the BBC Radio 2′s D-Day concert at The Royal Albert Hall will now stream live to DLWP alongside the broadcast on Radio 2.

Mindful of the fact that many veterans are in their late 80s and 90s, this live cinema broadcast will allow them, their families and those who are unable to travel to London or France to embrace the event visually and mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day together.

Hosts Jeremy Vine, Dermot O’Leary and Louise Minchin will re-tell the story of key moments of D-Day alongside a cast of actors lead by Patrick Stewart playing Sir Winston Churchill.
The backdrop to the historic and poignant narration will come from the The BBC Concert Orchestra and a military band featuring musicians drawn from all three UK Armed Forces.

There will be further performances from Katherine Jenkins who will sing a virtual duet with Dame Vera Lynn, Alison Moyet, Beverly Knight and Russell Watson who will reunite the original Military Wives Choir with a special rendition of ‘In My Dreams’.

Do not miss being part of this very special historic event. Book now!
