Strike action by RMT Union members
Revised Southern service plan

The RMT Union is taking strike action over our plans to improve customer service on board our trains.

Unfortunately, this strike will have a significant impact on the number of trains we are able to run for our passengers.

Whilst we are working to run as many trains as possible, on some routes there will regrettably be no train services at all and on other routes we will only be able to run a reduced service.

We have been advised by the RMT Union that its conductor members will strike on:

Tuesday 26 April and Wednesday 27 April
Tuesday 10 May and Wednesday 11 May
Thursday 12 May and Friday 13 May

This will have a significant effect on Southern services on the whole of the days affected, with no service on many routes and only a limited service between approximately 07.30 and 18.00 on others. A map showing the effect on a station by station basis is available to download..

Queuing systems will be in place at many stations that are open so you may have a long wait before you are able to board a train. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee to get you to your destination.

Gatwick Express and Thameslink services will be largely unaffected by the strike but some services are expected to be extremely busy on these days and some trains will be unable to call at certain stations, so please allow more time for your journey.
