Councillor Maurice Gilbert, Chairman of Pevensey Parish Council retires after over 20 years stalwart service to community

I am very sorry to report that Councillor Maurice Gilbert, the current Chairman of Pevensey Parish Council has decided to retire after over 20 years’ stalwart service to the community. He has worked tirelessly within Council and has been Vice Chair, Chairman of Council as well as Chairman of the Highways and Byways Committee where he has been particularly effective in achieving positive results (sometimes after long, determined efforts!) for the benefit of the residents of Pevensey and Pevensey Bay.

We all wish him well in a relaxed, healthy retirement.
