On Wednesday 8 November, Coffee, Cakes & Computers – the FREE drop-in computer advice sessions from Wealden District Council – is coming to Heathfield at State Hall on Station Road from 10am-12pm.—Wealden District Council, 23 October 2017
Wealden offers help to get online
“Coffee, Cakes & Computers is a great initiative to help Wealden residents get online,” said Councillor Nick Collinson, Portfolio Holder for Community Leadership. “Being able to use the internet is no longer a luxury; it’s an essential everyday skill to have. For example Universal Credit is currently being rolled out across Wealden and applications need to be made online. But there’s plenty more you can learn about such as: social media, storing photos, emails, Skype or more. With Christmas fast approaching, why not learn how to use the internet to shop for presents online?”
There’s no need to book a slot, just come along to State Hall on Station Road in Heathfield (TN21 8LD) between 10am and 12pm and volunteers from Wealden District Council will help you with your computing questions over a hot drink and a slice of cake.
If you would like to bring your own laptop or tablet you are welcome to but there will also be some tablets available for use at the session if you don’t want to.
