Our last volunteer session of 2016 took place at our community apiary this morning. We took out some buddleija roots to make room for some of the new fruit and nut trees that will be arriving after Christmas.—Andy Durling, Incredible Edible Pevensey and Westham, 20 December 2016

That brings to an end an extremely productive year at the apiary.

We’re putting together a workshop programme for the apiary so that we can introduce local people to composting, no-dig gardening, natural beekeeping, and mindfulness in the wild. So watch this page for further details!

We also look forward, all being well with our honeybees, to our first honey harvest in 2017 and our first batch of raw honey for sale.

Big thanks to everybody for their support and a Merry Christmas to one and all! See you in 2017!

PS: if you’d like to volunteer on the apiary, please email our Lead Co-ordinator for the apiary, Andy Durling, at
