Work on Westham village pond starts on Monday 5 November at 7.30am
The useful new community page for Westham is reporting this evening (Tuesday 30 October), “Work on the pond is starting on Monday at 7.30 am by County Clean the road round Mortain and Montfort will not be available for school parking for several days” .
The Heron Public House in Westham commented this evening, “Hurray!! Thank you to everyone who signed our petition. Things are finally moving forward”.
At a keynote meeting of Westham Parish Council (Monday 15 October), a full council meeting made the unanimous decision to de-silt Westham village pond.
The decision will see as much as £60,000 spent to de-silt and remove the silt to a location elsewhere.
