SOUTH DOWNS OUTREACH SERVICE TO CEASE
Dear Parents it is with deep sadness and shock that I have to let you know that I have received news that there is a current consultation regarding the ceasing of South Downs Outreach Service in its current form. Some provision will be taken over by the CLASS service but it will be by referral and through the front door system, making the support the Embrace children need less available to them. For those of you who do not know South Downs Outreach they provide support to special needs children in mainstream school that are unable to access special education provision any other way and without their support many children would not be able to access education at all. For those of us that know them, I know you will support me in filling out the questionnaire on this consultatation to feed back what a devastating loss this will be to local children and the impact it will have on their mental health and future life chances. Please help us fight to keep South Downs Outreach
