*** BREAKING NEWS
PEVENSEY BAY LIBRARY: RE-OPENING 30 AUGUST
EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL LISTEN TO COMMUNITY
. . .

I think ESCC may have listened to our comments on the opening hours – the following on Pev Bay library is from their document going to Cabinet on 19 July

We have concluded that the proposed opening hours are broadly the most appropriate way to meet the necessary reductions while providing a range of suitable times for people to access the library, but that they should be amended to create a consistent lunch hour closure on Thursday and Friday and for the library to open for half an hour longer (until 1.30pm) on Saturdays.

The link for the full report which contains loads of really interesting info is:-

https://news.eastsussex.gov.uk/…/cabinet-to-decide-on-open…/

Unfortunately the context for all this as you know is making £500,000 cuts with more proposed next year after the needs assessment and strategic commissioning proposals are published.
