Ditch the Boxing Day walk – bring the family to the Boxing Day Tea Dance at the Winter Garden, Eastbourne 2-5pm and burn off that Christmas dinner without needing to wear your hat and gloves!
All are welcome on the dance floor to sashay to the sounds of Chris Mannion, or just to warm your hands on a cuppa while you listen to the music. Expect sequence, swing, foxtrot, quickstep and waltz and many other classic dances, all with a Christmassy twist.
The Winter Garden in Compton Street is a Grade II listed building, designed by architect Henry Currey and built in 1875. The Floral Hall, where all Tea Dances are held, was originally used as a skating rink in winter and concert hall in summer. A venue that is stooped in rich history is the perfect place to dance along to the music of days gone by.
