Baywatch

> baywatch: Daily round the clock coverage of the local world of the web. We surf and sift. Good old fashioned analogue reporting with your very own wind-up Google alarm clock.

THE MORNING POST : friday 15 july : 08:08

Pevensey Bay Aqua Club
Don’t miss out on their site. It is going great guns. Ready to see off allcomers, Napoleanic Wars or not. Nice welcome in the information bar, place is described as the perfect waterfront venue to enjoy good food and drink in a warm friendly atmosphere, relax on our lawn or in our air conditioned bar and take in the ever changing moods of the sea. Love it. John Masefield would have been proud to have penned those lines and I can vouchsafe that it is a favourite haunt of the editor of Bay Life, and has been for many a year.

With Pevfest 2011 getting crated up and ready to go, Pevensey Bay Aqua Club is on the case. Facebook Wall spraycanned loud and clear in capitals to good effect and all for PEVFEST. A nice little offer on T shirts to boot. PEVFEST T SHIRTS £6 EACH (2 for a tenner) HAT AND T SHIRT £8 – WRIST BAND £1 – HAT £4. CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE BAR, is what they say. Give them a shout, they are doing Pevfest 2011 proud. View what’s written on their wall here.

Beach Tavern
Award winning, web-savvy enterprise, The Beach Tavern, very ably run by Stephan Ritchie and his wife, Sonia, now offering a wine list that is constantly being developed by a monthly wine tasting club. They currently stock 8 white, 8 red, 2 rosé and Champagne for all those special occasions.

Don’t forget that pre-Pevfest on the Friday night (22 July), they are now also offering a Festival warm up disco. Looking very much like it will be the place to hang-out with all those look-alike stars the day before tomorrow.

Bubbling up with the Beach Tavern’s champers is a bright and extensive gig guide, the best of the best. THIS IS THE PAGE to browse and be seen on the local web. Check out the next few weeks for what is on offer to whet your pre-Pevfest appetite… Saturday June 25th 9pm, Pink Floyd Tribute (Just Floyd). Their website rocks and rolls daily with updates. All the latest news from the talk of the town here.

Pevensey Bay Car Boot Sale
Had to happen, the Pevensey Bay Car Boot people have discovered the power of the local web to pull in the punters. Nice simple, clean interface with their new site, and note the special offers on pitches until the end of June! Remember where you browsed it first. … True story number, 104, editor of Bay Life one Sunday morning, many moons ago, managed to furnish his library with a whole shelf of original Folio edition books at a totally bargain price. This boot sale, like the Bay itself, is a hidden gem and seriously worth a visit weekly. Good bit of copy on their own titlepage as well, if truth be told, so here is what they have to say in full….
