Review from local family: Our accommodation was perfect: the caravans are dotted around low hillsides, ours was a pleasant 5 minute walk up from the main facilities past a lake. Great place, weather and local wine. Thoroughly recommended!
We drove to the campsite for a family holiday in the recent Easter break. 5 of us in need of a relaxing time in an area we wanted to explore. We were not disappointed. The campsite was easy to find and the staff welcoming and friendly at all times. A nice mix of nationalities and ages.
We used the shop and bakery and the pools and tennis courts. The shop is well – stocked and the croissants well -worth getting up early for. We didnʼt eat at the restaurant and bar but they looked inviting and had a good, varied menu on offer at a reasonable price. Neither did we use the fitness room or the childrensʼ play areas as we were too busy resting, but there is a programme of activities organised daily for both children and adults.
We enjoyed both the inside, heated pool and jacuzzi as well as the outside pools.
The water was clean and the facilities never crowded. Highlights were when the outside water slides were opened and the Nutella panninis on sale at the pool bar. It is a relaxing place just to lie out on the sunbeds and take in the views if you donʼt fancy the splash and water jets.
There is plenty to do for all ages and level of swimmers; even the challenge of swimming against the rapids for some. I felt the children were safe and always well -supervised by staff.
Our accommodation was perfect: the caravans are dotted around low hillsides, ours was a pleasant 5 minute walk up from the main facilities past a lake. We had a good level of privacy and ate out on the terrace which is not overlooked. At all times the site was quiet and peaceful and the grounds well-maintained . There is a very pleasant walk around the perimeter fence with great views over the surrounding countryside.
For the children, there is also a small farm and the possibility of pony rides.
The caravan itself is spacious and well -equipped; really a home from home, complete with a good sized bath!
There is plenty of comfortable sitting and eating space and the kitchen is well-fitted with all the necessary utensils. The beds were so comfortable that we all slept in; only to be woken by birdsong or on occasions, we had to wake the children with “piped” music in each room.!
The bathroom was big enough to dance in and it was a surprise to find a bath and extra toilet, great for bigger families.
Outside there was an extra fridge and shower which I should imagine would be an asset in the hot, summer months.
All in all, the right place to go to unwind, with or without children.
On site, we did swimming, tennis and mini-golf and recharged our batteries.
In the local area we explored Frejus, which is a 10 -minute drive, and has a waterfront area as well as an interesting old town with markets and pottery. We spent an evening in St. Tropez, just looking and dreaming and further along the coast we visited Cannes, Nice and drove into Monaco and Italy. None too far away. We lost count of the Ferraris and luxury yachts!
Great place, weather and local wine. Thoroughly recommended!
