Local artist Christine Racher, of Val Prinseps Road, Pevensey Bay, is celebrating this week with the news that an agency has made an approach to invest in her work with an online gallery that will be dedicated to her quirky images of village scenes and London life expressed in the form of picaresque buildings and skylines.
Talking about the opportunity to see her work promoted nationally, Christine told Bay Life (23 October), ‘when I was offered the opportunity I said, OK let’s do it’.
Over the last few months Christine has seen sales of some of the artwork receive increased attention, with people buying her work from as far afield as Leeds. ‘This chap just phoned me up and said he wanted to buy my work, Any Portal in a Storm’, she explained.
The new online profile will include the opportunity to buy her original artwork and also sets of postcards of the images, which have been specially created utilising high end production techniques by a company in London that specialises in the promotion of artwork for the business market. A sign up email newsletter will keep people informed about her latest work and prices and include the opportunity to hear from the artist herself about what she is working on next.
Christine Racher, the online artist, will go live on December 6 ready for the Christmas market 2014.
