Pevensey Parish Council Information Day
Saturday 28 April 2018
St. Wilfrid’s Hall and Pevensey Bay Baptist church
9:00am—1:00pm

Every year Pevensey Parish Council organises an Information Day at which the stand is made for us all, every year the Information Day gets bigger and better because of the quality of the organisations.—Bay Life, 16 March 2018

Residents and visitors can mix and soak up the atmosphere and see what has been happening through the year

The Day is a fabulous display of all the work undertaken day in and day out by the volunteer fabric of the community.

A historical record, documented by the Parish Pump, now serving this community for 50 glorious years explains that in 1982, a study identified over 200 local organisations in the community serving local people, a density of popular concern that was marked then as outstanding in the South of England, and now is perhaps even more noteworthy.

This year Parish Councillor, Shirley Mackinnon, who organises the event, points out that there may well be over 45 organisations represented at the morning, displaying their work. The Day is a fascinating study of the fabric of the community.

Organisations show what they have been doing for the last year, residents and visitors can mix and soak up the atmosphere and people can see what is on offer with organisations and make a vital connection that perhaps will lead to them standing proud with their own display and their own organisation in the year to follow.

The organisation of the sixth annual Pevenesy Parish Council Information is now underway. and represents this community at the very best.

The detailing of the event is meticulous. Shirley told Bay LIfe today (16 March 2018), “there are over 45 represented this year, so it’s going to be tight in the two halls! We may need to use both upstairs and downstairs in the Baptist Church Hall”.

This is an event not to be missed, whether you are a volunteer organisation, resident or visitor to this fair citadel of a community.

Festivals, meals on minibus driven wheels, arts, history and always the excitement of seeing organisations as they set up and explain what they have been doing all year with their activities.

Fabulous collection of stands, people and activity and, without question, an event not to be missed.
