A new group established in Pevensey Bay, the Anderida Local History Group is seeking “genuine historical information about Pevensey Bay, Westham and the surrounding area”.

Living Memories is a free a social event this month. People are encouraged to” bring photos, newspaper cuttings, magazine advertisements and any other memorabilia you may have”.

The group says ,”tell your own personal story from WW2 to the present day, as well as enjoying the memories of friends, relations and neighbours.”

The theme for the event has a interesting ring to the title. With so many local people in a position to share their own memories of life in the locality and the life of their parents and grandparents, the event looks sure to attract interest.

By all accounts the first few meetings of the new group have been both engaging and educational, as well as of interest to the people that have attended the events..

The next social event of the Anderida Local History Group  is at the Aqua Club in Pevensey Bay

Anderida Local History Group
Wednesday 13th April from 2 – 4pm
