Our bus services run in and around Westham and Pevensey, including Beachlands, Pevensey Bay, Hankham, Stone Cross, Langney and Hailsham.
A travel pass is accepted on all our public transport services. They are used by anyone, to go shopping, to get to our medical centres, to attend meetings at the village halls and to visit friends. All of us are volunteers, keen to look after you. Try us one day!
Our aims are “To encourage the provision of community transport services for those inhabitants of the civil parishes of Westham and Pevensey who are in need of such services because of age, sickness or disability (mental or physical), or poverty, or because of a lack of availability of adequate and safe public passenger services, and may include the provision of such a service by the Charity for the benefit of such people, as well as for the benefit of the local residents of Westham and Pevensey as a whole.”
We were incorporated on 13 November 2007, Westham & Pevensey Local Transport Partnership (WPLTP) is company no 6425892, limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales. In July 2011 we also became a registered charity, number 1142981.
We are run entirely by local volunteers. Our bus is wheelchair accessible as well as being easily accessible for all people with mobility problems and mothers with pushchairs.
All WPLTP drivers are regularly tested using MIDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme), in addition they are all CRB checked.
