To the editor

A thank you to George Stephens for his continuing support of the events at St. Nicolas Church.

Nobody has even stood up at the end of events at St. Nicolas Church to publicly thank George Stephens for his work organising the events at St. Nicolas Church The work has been admirable, to such a degree time and time again. Credit must be given to him for the success of all these events., events that have been appreciated by so many people.

He is so efficient and he has got a nice way with it as well. There have been so many good events, from the sound of Harvey’s Brass to the Hot Five Pasadena Roof Orchestra to the Kings Singers. Vivace will be the last one for this year.

I just feel it is time that something should be said after the events. I do no have the confidence to stand up and say these things

A vote of thanks and an acknowledgement at the end of the year, would be right. Sheer efficiency, people can book their tickets in advance and pick them up. Maybe a lot of people, have said thank you to him.

The concerts have given so much pleasure to so many people, it has been extraordinary. The amount of money that has been raised over the years that I have been going is entirely down to the fact that the public has been aware of the events.

A public word of thanks I think is appropriate.
