Pevfest—People Get Ready

We are reliably informed this morning, Sunday 19 June, from sources close to the organisers, that the planning for Pevfest 2011 is now about to reach fever pitch, with the bulkwark of the extensive arrangements in preliminary position for what we all hope is about to become the best fest everest.

Welcome the Big Day out in the Bay for all the family….Programmes, we understand should be on sale within a few days. Wristbands, tee shirts and hats are on sale around the village already.

We have been asked to point out that Sea Road car park will be closed for all parking except disabled parking and stall holders, as there are a number of new events taking place at this location.

In addition we understand that new events now will also be held at St Wilfrid’s Church and at the Baptist Church.

Pull up a pew. Bay Life, your weekly news magazine on the web, will be keeping you informed now on a countdown-daily basis as news comes in from all quarters about what is planned and last minute tweets and tweaks with all the preparations.

Last, but by no means least, note the following times and additions to the kick-off.  The Parade starts at 12:00pm. It has 12 different groups, all in colourful celebration, good to go, and yes, as we have hinted in the past, the young people of this fayre Parish are getting into gear to be part of the proceedings. It’s official! Pevensey and Westham School children will be there as part of the celebrations to help the parade on its way.

People get ready. Welcome Pevfest 2011.
